Phil Joubert
Managing Director and Head of Insurance Solutions, APAC
Mr. Joubert is a managing director and Head of APAC Insurance Solutions. He is primarily responsible for developing and managing the insurance client base in APAC. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2025, Mr. Joubert served as the Head of Investment Consulting at AIA Group in Hong Kong, where he led the Investment Consulting unit, an internal strategy and solutions team which worked on initiatives including developing the Group’s private markets platform, and helping AIA entities optimize their investment strategies. Before that, he was a director at EY in Hong Kong where he oversaw projects including strategic transaction support and development of asset allocation frameworks and models for insurance clients. Mr. Joubert has also held roles at Oliver Wyman, Natixis, Deutsche Bank, and Deloitte. He holds an M.Sc. in mathematics and finance from Imperial College London and a B.Sc. (Hons) in mathematics from the University of the Witwatersrand. Mr. Joubert is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
